Malabar Traditions -' Theyyam'-The Rhythm of Ancient Culture!!

               Theyyam is perhaps the most significant ritualistic art form of Kerala – God’s Own Country. It is a belief that 'Theyyam' is a form of worship where man transforms in the form  of God and propitiates the Gods through possessed dancing; Theyyam is also known by the name Kaliyaattom. The performance of Theyyam is supposed to make life prosperous and remove all hazards.Theyyam has its etymological origin from Daivam,  i.e., god in vernacular. Theyyam is performed in mainly in the North Malabar districts of Kannur and Kasargod in Kerala State ,INDIA

ഇവിടെ ചേരികളും ദുരിതവുമില്ല ഉള്ളത് മനോഹരമായ ബീച്ചുകളും ടൂറിസം കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളുമാണെന്ന് പറയുന്ന ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ തന്നെയാണ് സത്യത്തില്‍ ലോകത്തിനു മുന്നില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയെ കരിതേച്ചു കാണിക്കുന്നത്. ഒരിന്ത്യന്‍ പൌരന് വര്‍ണശബളമായ നമ്മുടെ കാഴ്ചകളെ മഹത്വല്‍ക്കരിക്കുകയും നമ്മുടെ ദുരിതങ്ങളെയും വേദനകളെയും തമസ്കരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാന്‍ ധാര്‍മികമായി അവകാശമില്ല. ചേരികളും തീട്ടത്തില്‍ ചാടുന്ന കുട്ടികളുമല്ല, ഇവരൊന്നും ഇന്ത്യയിലുള്ളവരല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നവരാണ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ നാണക്കേട്.

Protest about the Fuel price Hike.....

A glance at the petrol prices in our neighbouring countries reveals all. Per litre price of petrol in Pakistan is Rs. 26, in Bangladesh it is Rs.22, while in Nepal it hovers at a reasonable Rs. 34. Even in strife-ridden Afghanistan, its price is not more than Rs. 33 per litre.but in india it is crossed 70!!

This is may be the fifth such increase in current  year and the eleventh since price was decontrolled in June last year.Here another fact also is that two times crood oil price decreased in the world market but at that times the Govt didnt take any response to Reduce the petrolium price. They keep silence!!
;The deregulation of prices is meant to help private oil companies and put the people at the mercy of a market controlled by the oil MNCs and domestic corporates,
Indian Oil has netted profits to the tune of Rs. 4,663 crore for the 2009-10 fiscal, while Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) have made robust profits of Rs. 834 crore and Rs. 544 crore respectively. In fact, all the major oil companies were running in profit.
